Fire-Starting Angelic Visitation
A few days ago, earlier this month, I was awakened out of a sound sleep to see a vision of an angel. He was carrying fire from the altar of God in his right hand. In his left hand, he held an unlit torch. He seemed in a hurry like he was on an assignment. He looked at me and would have passed by, except I asked him who he was.
He said, “I am a fire-starting angel. I have fire in my hand from the altar of God.”
I asked him about the unlit torch in his left hand. “Can I have the torch you are carrying?”
He said that it was available if I wanted it.
“Would you light it for me with the fire from the altar of God that you have in your hand?” I asked.
“Yes,” he replied. “I will light it for you. Do you want the fire-starting anointing that goes with it?”
“Please give it to me,” I said, “we are in great need of the fire of God here.”
He handed me the now-lit torch, and hurried on his way, as he left, he turned and said, “I can give this to those who ask as long as they have been to the altar of God and laid down their lives.”
In pondering this experience, I have several observations:
We need the fire of God in America once again.
It has to come from the altar of God. We cannot start fires with “strange fire”. The altar of God symbolizes a laid down life and the fire is not available to us except at that altar.
I believe this angel has more torches to give away. They will be given only to those whose lives are totally dedicated to the Lord.
Unlit torches have no benefit to those who carry them.
The angel would have passed me by except for my request. The Lord gives to those who ask Him.
Fire-starters belong to God. We become human torches aflame with the fire from the altar of God.
My cry is to be a fire-starter, aflame with heaven’s fire, ablaze with heaven’s message, released to find the fuel of human hearts, who have taken their dreams, visions, and future hopes and stacked them like wood on the altar of God.
Let those who have laid it all down ask for the flame of God to ignite their lives with passion and Presence from the altar of God. Ask to be a fire-starter for the Lord. Our nation will be consumed with something. May it be ignited for the Lord once again.
Our God is a consuming fire.
